Local Summary - September 2008
How about a summary from our local station(s)/area(s)? To kick off...
Summary: A fairly pleasant month all told, but certainly with some extremes! The first part of the month saw very unsettled weather, with some heavy and torrential rain at times - over 50% of the month's rain fell on the 11th. However, by the second weekend we had moved to settled conditions with plenty of sun and warm days; that said, the nights were cool, with some very autumnal cool and misty dawns.
Rainfall: 42.2 mm (Wettest day: 24.7 mm on the 11th )
Average Max Temp: 18.7 C (Warmest day: 21.0 C on the 1st)
Average Min Temp: 8.5 C (Coldest night: 4.7 C on the 25th)
Days with Fog/Mist (at morning observation): 12
