| | | Re: Urgent Help!! Dusk and Dawn! I have a really neat dusk/dawn gadget on my igoogle home page at all times: Add gadgets to your homepage
Along with the local weather, news (local, UK and international), Google blog reader (to keep up to date with blogs I'm subscribed to), Google maps, World clocks, Google translate, Google notebook and Google Calendar. I don't know how I ever survived without them!
I guess you could say I'm a bit of a "Google Girl"...

| | | Re: Urgent Help!! Dusk and Dawn! How can you say that Dan...
I know some people don't like Google much. I use it every day, every hour, every minute in my work as an internet consultant. I worked out the other day that having a iGoogle home page has definately saved me hours of searching over the last 2 years.
Now Microsoft.... that's a different kettle of fish! Don't get me started on Microsoft. If you haven't already done so, try the Mozilla Firefox browser instead of Internet Explorer.... a far more enjoyable experience!

| | | Re: Urgent Help!! Dusk and Dawn! Old fashioned printed almanacs (remember them) usually contain this information. Your local library might have a copy of Whitaker's, or the US World Almanac used to have a 2 page universal table for calculating sunrise/sunset anywhere between 20 and 70 degrees North. The various definitions of dawn and dusk (nautical/civil/&c) are usually related to how far the upper limb of the sun is below the horizon.
There's another on-line source here which generates a monthly calendar, but only for a limited set of UK locations.
