Over a week ago yes but lately it seems to be from the central belt of Scotland Southwards,starts of dull but brightens up by 11am but you do get used to the rain eventualy I speak from experiance also ask Ron its the done thing up here to rain constantly all year round nearly

We didnt till Monday when we had very heavy rain in the afternoon.Yesterday it wasnt too bad but today we have had rain since about 8 this morning.It hasnt stopped all day and the forecast for the rest of the week is more of the same!
Someone told me that it will be like this through July and into August

I absolutely hate this country's climate! its rain all the time! This was supposed to be the longest summer of my life (just finished GCSEs) ! and I have wasted half of it on these forums waiting for the rain to stop! I havent had chance to go to any nature reserves or do anything I planned! |

I don't mind summers like this one. I agree, it has been a bit wet and windy, but on the plus side, there's been no need to water the garden or top up the pond, and there will probably be a good berry crop for the birds in the autumn.
The sort of summers I find absolutely unbearable are the long, hot ones, like we endured in 2003 and 2006. Words cannot describe how much I hate that kind of prolonged heat! Don't usually find many people agree with me on that one though.... |

I am sick to death of rain i go out and get wet nearly every day..my garden is like a bog and its like autumn ..I havnt had a good stretch of the sun yet..i looked on met ofice and it said next week would be better i really hope that is true !!!!

Seen no rain at all here today! A few dark clouds but they soon blew over.
Shouldn't have said anything really, It'll probably come down like a sheet later now I have!

Well it's like autumn here in Derbyshire, heavy showers some sun and it's so blustery. Can't wait for tomorrow as there might just be a day without rain, I get so fed up taking the dogs out every day when they come back soaking wet and covered in mud. Even if it stops raining for a couple of days the ground is so saturated it's still wet and muddy! British summertime - forgot what that is!
