re: Weather Stick

Think you must be alone
my mum had a joke weather detector once, a piece of string on a board - if it was raining it was wet, sunny it was dry, moving side to side meant it was windy. Silly really

Yes I think im alone on this one, its about 14 inches long made of canadian willow when the weather is wet or damp the stick goes down, when its dry and sunny it bends upwards, they were sold on ebay a while ago, I think they are btrilliant for only a few pounds. sheila

Yes, they are very good; but mine eventually broke in last winter's gales. Will have to get another some time. A shop in Modbury, S. Devon was selling them but I keep forgetting to stop and find out if they are still sold there.

One more item to be added to that lengthening list!

I used to have one to and it was very accurate Though I used to call it a willy stick rather than a weather stick

Hello tufftie now I wonder why you would call it a willy stick because they are at least 14 inches long and very very very thin by the way my willy is right down today due to the haevy rain that hasnt stopped all morning sheila
