favourite BBC weather presenter.

I'm obsessed with BBC weather forecasts. Here are my top three forecasters:

1. Daniel Corbett (number 1 by a long way)
2. Rob McElwee
3. Nick Miller

If I was going for fanciable female forecasters, then Hellen Willetts would be numero uno.
Does anyone else have their BBC favourites?

Regards, Chris

Is Daniel Corbet the one who speaks at 100mph? He tells you not to forget your brolly or to put an extra blanket on? He wants shooting.

Re: favourite BBC weather presenter.

Dan Corbett, just for the man's enthusiasm!

Incidently there's a vid on youtube of an out-take where his voice got distorted on live telly, if you think he speaks at 100 mph normally, watch it, it's hilarious!

Oh Oxy! Your views horrify me. D.C is the best...ever. Ian McCaskill is not fit to lace his boots!
Cheers for the You Tube bit Grump. I'll check it out now.

Re: favourite BBC weather presenter.

I suppose Paul Hudson gets my vote. He sometimes comes out with an outrageous aside. He once made a comment on a news item featuring some women on Leeds market (can't quite remember what he said) and I was amazed he didn't get the sack.

Well, the whole BBC news-team appall me anyway and the weather people just seem to go along with it. Don't mind Francis (whatisname?) on Sky News.

Cheers Grump! The best laugh in ages! Some great D.C footage, plus a classic one with Tomasz Shafernaker (spelling?) and his frozen ball (s?).

Brilliant,
there's something about someone corpsing on live telly, or radio for that matter, which just makes me giggle (Charlotte Green on BBC4 did a great one recently...)

Rob McElwee and Daniel corbett have joint top place for me.

But on looks well it would have to be Susan Powell or Kirsty McCabe but the cutest one i cant remember her name, though she cant be any older then 24.

Is the cute one Laura Tobin. She's quite new and is mostly on News 24. She is my favorite but I'm slightly biased as I used to get a daily met brief from her each morning at work. Having said that she is actually one of the best and she's lovely.

Re: favourite BBC weather presenter.

The best weather forecasting is on the internet especially the Met Office website. You can home in on all the specific details at your own pace and not be distracted by the looks or weird mannerisms of the TV presenters! As for the worst, it must be the one sentence summary for the whole UK on the Today programme at half-past the hour.

Re: favourite BBC weather presenter.

It amuses me that on CNN they do a world weather forecast in about 30 seconds! Tornado here, tropical storm there....

About our local weather, I regularly find that I am so busy looking at how the presenter is presenting that it gets to the end and I found out that I was not actually listening to the weather at all.

Don't know which channel, but Becky Mantin Purely for aesthetic reasons but she has got a silky voice that could turn men to treacle.

Anyone got a bucket of cold water.

Cheers,

Adam

edit: ITV apparently

Re: favourite BBC weather presenter.

My vote was for Ulrika kaka, She gave me hug on Scarborough beach when she did the weather forecast from there.....( many moons ago )

I think the forecast was for rain....No change there then
