Re: Winter set to return...

Hopefully with the strength of the sun at this time of year there will be some good convection in land and we get some hefty snow showers.

Funny how the weather seems to change and become wet and cold when the kids break up for their holidays!.

Ah, Tufftie, I've been camping in the Welsh mountains at this time of year. Had the campsite to myself too! And the carton of milk I put outside the tent was frozen in the morning too! You'll have a great time. Take a hot water bottle, and a woolly hat and wear it to bed.

Re: Winter set to return...

Never go anywhere without a hot water bottle or two.
I don't know the song, because I'm out of touch with the real world most of the time, not being from this planet. But honestly a wooly hat will save you freezing! And who takes glamour camping?

Re: Winter set to return...

it's a cosy sleeping bag with hoods - been in many a freezing village hall with them on conservation tasks Glamour - what's that then?!!! - though i'm still not going to wear a sexy woolly hat...even if it's a colourful as yours

Think the song is a traditional klezma tune

Having worked the phones for the Police for a couple of years wet/cold/miserable days were the best in the school holidays - less 'phone calls about kids being kids (i.e. just playing - not being anti-social so and so's)

Re: Winter set to return...

It certainly looks like winter is back with the snow coming this weekend, having to put bags over some bushes to stop their buds dropping off

On the plus side if it snows hard enough sleding

Well Saturday night it rained and it seemed to be wet and windy all night but when we opened the tent in the morning we were greeted by beautiful white scenery - as well as snow falling in on us - lol Real mix of weather - warm in the sun but icy in the wind - but some beautiful starry nights
