Re: Snow at Easter?

It was snowing quite heavily here at 09:20 this morning and trying to settle. All gone now though.

Lovely to see your kingfishers out in it Jeff. There's no sign of any birds on the feeders here.

Richardkm has posted a couple of beautiful snow scenes of Buxton, Derbyshire in the forum images this morning - I'm very jealous as it's been more than 15 years since I've seen snow like that.

Re: Snow at Easter?

Snowing around London this morning, but soon disappeared as it turned to sleet, then light rain! Unusually I've felt no great desire to leave the house so far today!!

Re: Snow at Easter?

According to the Met Office, we're more likely to get a white Easter than a white Christmas (unless you're watching Bing & Danny on the box). Woke to a winter wonderland this morning.

Re: Snow at Easter?

Plenty of snow overnight in my part of Lincolnshire. Here's the view of the garden from the back bedroom:

Didn't take long to thaw, though

Re: Snow at Easter?

Up here in Saddleworth we ended up with just over 4 inches , unfortunately wasn't able to get out and about to take pictures but the scenery was amazing, anyway it made my day.

Here's a few pics from my garden:

Re: Snow at Easter?

Took the dogs for a walk yesterday afternoon, started off in nice, although cold, sunshine. Then it began to rain on us, that turned to hail and by the time we got home it was snowing heavily.

Apparently we had snow this morning, not enough to settle though. Unfortunately, I didn't open my eyes until 10.30 ish and missed it

Re: Snow at Easter?

Well no snow when I woke at 6 am this morning but bang on cue it started. It settled but was gone by late afternoon. Am so pleased to see snow in Essex at last and how great that it happened on a Sunday not a work day. Got out and took pics in Epping Forest.

Re: Snow at Easter?

Just to say we still have a couple of foot of the snowman left that was built on Sunday afternoon. he started off being just over six feet tall, it's raining quite fast now though so I bet he'll be gone by morning
