Well, that won't last long, did it? The much publicised storm that hit the southern and western counties today is all but over on Dorset's coast. At 5:00 am there were some strong gusts in amongst the persistent wind, and some rain (not particularly heavy), but as I write, it's sunshine and blue skies and the wind has all but gone. Damage wise there are a few dead twigs that have been blown off of trees, and the odd puddle here and there, but otherwise I seem to have escaped the worst of it in east Dorset...unless there is more to come.

Well, it's still going strong here and no signs of slowing up yet - the odd respite for a peedie while but...! there was a big crash a few mins ago from the wood - so guess that's a tree down..
