| | | Re: Big Storm brewing Metcheck have this...
"There is growing confidence of a deep and potent are (sic) of low pressure affecting the British Isles during Monday of next week.
Details and exact paths are still open to fluctuation, however all with interests outside during Monday should be aware of the potential for damaging winds and heavy rain making travelling conditions dangerous.
This watch will be updated during Friday."

| | | Re: Big Storm brewing Funnily enough I saw the lunchtime weather report and the local forecaster uselessly hinted at a possible problem here on Monday but said only that - and that there would be updates nearer the time.
Grrrr if there's one thing I hate it's half a story! Will keep an eye on the met office webby (source of useful info!)

Although I agree with tufftie about wildlife concerns, tho spose they're pretty adept at staying safe in inclement weather. I'm off to hospital for wasp venom jab on Monday so hope not too bad weather until after midday.

| | | Re: Big Storm brewing Hi people,
Don't hold your breath, we've a weather centre less than 20 miles away, and they've yet to get it right, after the gales last time they cry wolf too often, 4 inches of rain in the next 24hrs, 6 inches of snow, flooding in the next 12 hrs, etc...etc...etc. unfortunately they'll get it right for once and no-one will take any notice.
Max.
P.S. Galanthus why do you need wasp venom, sounds serious.

| | | Re: Big Storm brewing How's today's weather with you guys? It's drizzly and windy down here so I've been out and made sure everything is secured for Monday. Can't do anything about our fence (it's already broken from last time - will look at getting it repaired after Monday). Met Office warning still stands for Monday - should be interesting! |

| | | Re: Big Storm brewing There definitely won't be a hurricane! Oops, that's done it now.
I use one of the surfing forecasts (Magic Seaweed) and they give SW upto 45 mph during the early hours of Monday soon veering west and decreasing slightly during the day; but remaining strong for several days. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
