Local weather reckons it will hit us during the night. Will let you know tomorrow.

| | | Re: Big Storm brewing All calm and clear here too - 992 millibars and 7.7 degrees C.
Prediction is for average wind speeds of between 30 and 35 mph - be interesting to see what the top speed is.

| | | Re: Big Storm brewing According to what i read its all gonna kick off at midnight...which is erm..now!
have already moved my car to the road away from the stupidly high and dangerous sycamores on the national trust land next to our drive!
I was out on the marshes doing a marsh harrier roost count at about 5- 6pm and the sky was jet black and bitterly cold but as far as wind it was very calm...rained hard for half hour on way home then stopped....
Impressive that last satellite pic though !

| | | Re: Big Storm brewing Yep really gaining strength now - ! Howling through the trees not to mention the beginnings of a rather ominous whistling sound (just stuck my head out of the window) and they are swaying about quite a bit too...and the arbour is at 45degrees - think it maybe down in the morning Going to be fun in a strange kinda way. Shall snuggle up in bed and listen to it while i daydream
