Rivers very swollen and flooding of houses within 1 minutes walk away from my house, lucky us to miss it Absolutely torrential rain up until an hour ago, worst I've ever seen. Mostly light rain now.

It's been raining here pretty much all day, but seems to have finally stopped now. Judging by the clouds though, it's only a temporary respite.

Sunny with showers in the morning turning very dull with high winds and driving rain this afternoon.

Better than yesterday is all I dare to say...ie, it's not actually raining.

Had 45mm in last 48 hours, which I realise is nothing compared to other parts of the country, but it does represent more than the September monthly total for 5 of the last 9 years here......wonder what the rest of the month will bring?

Apart from a few brisk showers a.m. its been dry.Very windy though with clouds racing overhead,a few sunny spells as well

HI There,
After two days of dull rainy weather its quite pleasant today.Not wall to wall sunshine but bright enough to bring out the swallows and butterflies.In have Peacocks and Red Admirals on my Buddlia just now its the first Red Admiral Ive seen this season.Temperature 15.0C,pressure 1009mbs steady.

There were meant to be sunny intervals today, but they never happened. Grey and pretty much overcast all day, but at least it's been dry for a change.

Had a lovely walk through country park this afternoon and the sun shone for ooo lets see 5 minutes!!

Well, that's five minutes more sun than I had walking up and down part of the Grand Union Canal today!
