It's been like monsoon rain since about 2.30. My garden is growing before my eyes, everything looks very lush and jungle like. |

Windy, very windy - as it was yesterday but the sun came out quite a lot then. Went walking over the Dales yesterday and seven mile route felt more like fifteen! Just to show that I'm a sucker for punishment, went out on one of our blasted heaths today and took the route which was against the eind. 
We're threatened with heavy rain tomorrow but the weather forecast hasn't approached reality for a week or two. |

Terrible .... rain, wind, cold.
I was hoping for a bright and warm B/H weekend for some wildlife watching and photography.
I just hope things improve from the middle of the week as I am off to the Scottish Highlands and Shetland.

Absolutely beautiful from 6.00am here in Central Scotland, brilliant sunshine and very, very warm - if you can shelter from the east wind that has been blowing for almost a week and it seems to be getting stronger.

Very very windy here this morning , it's not a good time of the year for strong winds, all those new plants are delicate and baby birds are everywhere |

Looks as if you need to be north of Birmingham for reasonable weather. Our haevy rain seems to have been postponed for another day; the easterlies are still her but the sun has come out. I'll stick to a lowland walk today! |

The garden feeders are packed with very wet but determined birds,some of the bolder(more desperate) are sitting it out under the full length back porch
The Bullfinch pair are sat together in the ivy looking on, like a Vicar and his wife at a rave party.The wind is gusty and swings the feeders wildly and all the while it rains heavily,and has done all day

Nice and dry with sunny spells  up here in the Yorkshire Dales.
Lot of wind though and heavy rain forecast for the following week.
