Dull and overcast with the occassional rain ,hope it improves for the week-end Saturday the towns Highland Games and its always a great event to go to

Today I went for a walk round Ashridge, a huge wooded estate owned by the National Trust on the Herts/Bucks border (juliejam just PM'd me to say that by coincidence that was were she was hunting for fungi today!).
Anyway, the skies were pretty grey all day (I was there from about 9.20am to 3pm), generally overcast or almost overcast with only occasional brighter spells when the sun managed to shine through the clouds. At least it stayed dry, apart from a few spots of rain about 1.40pm. |

Its now started raining hard, and we do really need this hope it keeps up for a good few hours, temp is still warm. shei

What a difference from yesterday ..Its been heavy rain since around 4am this morning..with the forecast not changing much throughout the day..with a high of 17c.

At the moment it's thunder, lightning, torrential rain and hail. We live on a hillside so the water is flooding past at a vast rate of knots, lawns under water, the bottom of the veg garden is washing away and one of the dogs is getting a bit exhausted now barking at it! Don't you just love our British summertime.

Its coming down in bucket loads at the moment..and still very dark clouds ahead..more to come im thinking. ive been caught out in it once today already...Lets hope it clears for my morning run..fingers crossed.

Got back from Devon on Saturday and it's rained here ever since. I've now been accused by my daughter of wasting her Summertime by going on holiday, the cheek of it. It's not like I can control the weather .

Its been a dismal evening with continuous moderate rain and fog .The pressure has been falling slowly but steadily since friday and is now at a unseasonably low 989mbs.Temperature 11.7C.
