Heavy storm last night with plenty of lightning...what fun..this morning its looking dry and still , but its only the early hrs yet..possible sunshine later..

did we miss something up here ? Rain most of the afternoon yesterday but nothing spectacular,today so far starting of very overcast and dull but a chance sun may break through with any luck.

Nice to see the Tits and Chaffinchs back in the garden they were absent for about 8 weeks back starting to come back missed them

Raining and overcast this morning looking like its about to brighten up soon.

HI There,
Very wet and dreary with continuous heavy drizzle.Temperature only reached 11.4C so far today now 11.1C.Im a bit worried about the Swallows this is the second day with wet and cold.,and I had to put out extra food on the bird table.

I wish I had you weather Julie.Although the rain has stopped at last its still cloudy and a cold breeze is blowing in from the north.The Swallows are still hiding.Temperature is down to 10.8C.Pressure 1005mbs steady.

Well Les with viewing this morning forecast rain was on the cards for today...So I was lucky..Its been around 24c .. Its just started to cool down and cloud over so who knows whats in store for this evening..

It turned out to be a nice day from about 1230 took a trip up Loch Ness to Dornie pick up son -in law and grand daughter they went camping for a few days and it was lovely and warm swallows sweeping out over the loch getting the midges and a family of mallards with this years young in tow but as usual NO Camera keep saying to wife must carry it in car when we go out you never know

Quite humid and partly sunny today, quite pleasant really.
Then the heavens opened about an hour ago and within minutes my patio was under an inch of water!
As quickly as it started it stopped again and now the sun's out again

Had terrific show of lightning last night and heavy rain.This morning was overcast and very muggy which culminated in a storm at about 1pm.
After that had died down turned into a reasonable afternoon with broken sunshine-but it is very close this evening,wouldnt be surprised to get another storm later!

Overcast with periods of sunshine but week-end does not hold good for planned trip to Dunnet Head and John O Groats,always the same you make plans only to be scuppered by the great Scottish weather

I did a nice 4 hour walk today, from Wendover Woods to Wigginton and back (Bucks/Herts borders), finishing about 2pm. The forecast had said occasional scattered showers, but in fact there was light rain or drizzle for most of the morning. Low clouds, very grey and mirky. Clouds lifted very slightly after about 12.30pm, but still occasional drizzle.

Back home now, there's still a lot of grey cloud, but it's brighter and there's been no more rain or drizzle.

Hello Yes that storm hit suffolk pretty bad knocked my computer out been to repairers for 3 days , quite a nice day today temp only about 20 degrees but thats fine . One good thing about storm it filled 5 butts up. shei

Been largely an overcast day but warm,mind you have noticed its got cooler this evening than of late
