Its been quite a sharp frost last night..but the sun is up and starting to shine, looks like a fresh but bright sunny day ahead..

An amazingly gentle spring morning here.
The grass was very crunchy when the dog and I took a turn around the garden at 5.30, but now the sun is bright, daffodils bobbing in the gentle breeze, snowdrops glowing, insects buzzing in the lonicera, seagulls soaring and blackbirds singing.

A very frosty start to the Day..topped up the Bird Tables around 7.30 for the early feeders of Blue & Great Tit..With clear skies and sunshine already making their mark looks like another good day ahead..Have a good day everyone...

Heavy frost in the Thames Valley.
Walked up the river at dawn - very crunchy and crisp - lovely.
Maybe this photo I took at 7am, of a barb on a barbed wire cattle fence along the more rural part of the river, sums it up in an image, better than I can in words...

It was a cold start here in Hampshire too.The sun has since come out with no wind and clear blue skies it`s quite warm, I`ve been out wearing just wearing a t-shirt and didn`t find it too cold. |

White landscape this morning, very cold, then warm sunshine, it's going chilly now (4.45pm). I notice from 2007 diary that this week last year was mild and drizzly here, so every year is different |

It was -3 in the morning, but the sun came out and was perfect weather for playing golf. A beauty of a sunset as well. |

We too woke up to -7 this morning very frosty no wind which made it a lot warmer than yesterday , but definately not t shirt weather yet, been frosty here all week but lovely days do follow, we had a nice crisp beach walk this morning and out in the garden most of the day |

I only have vague recollections of early this morning - I sniggered at my husband scraping the frost off the car at 6.30am ready to go to work before I got back into my warm bed!
I surfaced again at 9am and there was still a frost but it was melting, half my garden was white and crispy, the other half green and sunny!
The rest of the day it's been really sunny, an amazingly blue sky and a tad chilly - felt very spring-like .

Beautiful sunrise which blended in with a thick mist - over the sea and you couldn't see the town which made it even better! There's also a very heavy frost. the mist is starting to clear now and it promises to be a lovely sunny day.

the temperature is minus 4 and there's thick fog, but it's gently snowing on the Malvern Hills this morning...woohoo!!

After some frost, very nice and sunny. The sunshine quite warm too. Makes a change for here. Tomorrow evening I think rain is on the way. |
