What's Your Weather Like Today?

I went out for a walk early this morning(6.30-10) and its beautiful,sunny with a slight breeze.Looking over the Thames estuary the sun was glistening on the water.Weatherstick very happy at mo,pointing highest I have seen for ages.
Not only that but saw the kestrel chicks at the castle this morning,peering out of the nest site-1 almost fully feathered and 2 looks like they are a little younger.Lovely!!!

Anymore and i'll be able to swim in it

Today has been dry-at least where I am,4 miles down the road they had a cloudburst apparently,very localised.Weather stick has been straight out.Now it is pointing up,sign that it shouldbe a dry night!
Sun has been showing through fluffy clouds,well thats what I could see from where I was working!!

Its been a lovely sunny day here in Towcester. The tan is coming on a treat.

Its been lovely here in south lancs - warm sunny - puffy white clouds and a decent breeze but not at all cold like Sunday was - trouble is work and other jobs have stopped me from enjoying it................ unless you count litter picking this morning - and thats enjoying the sun - not the amount of garbage the idiots leave at night

Now I have to ask what is a weather stick - and where can I get one from - it sounds a whole lot more reliable than the forecasts on web and telly!!

it was freezing this morning - could see by breath and had to light the fire Though lovely sunny day but lacked tranquility because there as a digger seeing to my sewerage ditch..very noisy and smelly thing it was I was playing with a big bonfire all day

Hi Pauline,
A weather stick to put it simply is a stick that you attatch to a fence (mine is),when the weather is going to be fine it points up and when its going to rain it points down-shei111 explained it here better than I !!!
If you want to buy one ask galanthus as apparently he has ordered one!!
Hope this made sense to you,think soon all we will have to put here is "my weather stick is pointing up "etc lol

I have just gone out to photograph my weatherstick in action so you can see what it looks like.By its reckoning its going to be a dry night....we shall see.

Well it didnt let me down,it was a dry night as today has been.Broken sunshine,a bit breezy though!
