Beautiful sunny day-just a pity was stuck in work!

Almost unbearably hot - especially so when you're stuck at work driving a car with no air-con or a window what opens properly

An up day Sheila!!!Started overcast and although there is cloud around its been very warm.Pity I had to spend all day working in a hot store room!

Ellen | Similar story in the Chilterns (I live in Bedfordshire, but spent most of today on a walk in the Oxfordshire part of the Chilterns). Overcast and very grey this morning, didin't really look too promising, then started to brighten up about 11am . Very warm and quite humid, nice cooling breeze at times though. Clear blue skies here at home now. |

Temp hit 29 on my car guage this avo and stayed there for some time. I walked for 4 hours today and spent 2 hours with car roof down, v burnt  Very hot as we speak with sun beaming and no clouds whatsoever

Hot.Got a bit cloudy this afternoon but lots of breaks in the cloud.Slightly cooler than yesterday but hot enough for my back and neck too have burnt Mind you it was well worth the burnt neck and being stung by nettles as I saw my very first Kingfisher that was perched on a branch.I was walking back to the estuary end of the Otter River when I spotted it across the river.I heard a cheeping noise and found a way to the edge of the bank getting stung along the way and there it was.I stood there for ages even though I could feel the sun scorching my back.No way was I moving .Normally I wouldn't have managed any clear photos from that distance but my Tcon 1.7 I got for my birthday arrived today.Will post them up in forum later for you all to see
