It's been really lovely here today - bit of a breeze but it was welcome

It rained throughout the night, but at the moment it has stopped, although it is overcast and quite dull. But lets look on the bright side, at least the rain is warm!!

Quite a humid evening so I just decided to take the pooch for a womble to get some air. Walking along I could make out lights flashing above the mountain, 15 mins later the valley hills are bright with lightning No thunder as yet so storm still up on the moorland, hopefully it will clear the air.

Just had an electrical storm from 11.15 until midnight, the night lit up with fork lightening and large claps of thunder almost overhead, I promptly swiched my PC off and watched it unfold through the window, what a spectacular show.

Yesterday started very warm, but overcast and very humid. In the afternoon it was bright and sunny, but about 5pm there were a few distant rumbles of thunder and there were some filthy grey clouds coming over. We didn't actually get any rain, though, unless there was a bit in the night.

Today I've been walking near Chesham, Bucks. Very warm and very humid, rather hazy skies. Too warm for a long walk really, I'm feeling qute drained now.

Same here took lights off and sat by open french windows in the bedroom, spectacular is the right word.

Yes that'll do nicely - just bundle it all up and give it directions to Lancashire - a good storm with lots of lightening would just do the trick for me

A lovely morning quickly turned stifling while I did my Ranger in the Hide event at work this morning (highlight was a kingfisher zooming past the hide!) Now suddenly out of nowhere it seems a thunderstorm approaches from Manchester direction - YES - YES - YES BRING IT ON but I had better dash and take the aerial out of the telly and shut this machine down - then I can go and sit on the lawn and watch it arrive ........... OH YES!

Sunday the 11th May very hot day, Cut some laurels down on Friday got bitten all over my back and on my head had to go to the chemist as they are itching like mad they must have big nashers little blighters.They are getting more visious every year, Every one in the chemists were after tablets or cream for insect bites.

Very hot and sunny. Been waiting for the arrival of a porta loo but it didn't come so had to make a mad dash into town for the facilities there!! Back to it soo - rubbish clearing in the garden and there's a load of barbed wire and chain link fencing to get down too. Glad there's a stream and trees to keep me a bit cooler. Lots of wildlife here , birds, butterflies and squirrels

Great up here too but to look at the way I was dressed for my trip out round river Jacket and Bonnet on head have to watch I am covered Specialists are messing about with my medication yet again so have to cover up from sun or get burnt no wonder I felt down but two new inclusions to my gallery cheered me up

Very wet and very cold Though I went riding - a spur(sorry) of the moment thing - and it stayed dry for that and i had a great time hacking around the country lanes Now i'm in the library in an effort to keep warm!!
