Its like April showers with snow and sleet instead of rain

Just freezing cold, there has been the odd sunny interval, but not very pleasant. No snow though.

Freezing cold north westerly wind blasting the garden. Funnily enough the Lifeguards started on the beach for the easter weekend, don't think many will be going in for a dip!!
The sand dunes (man -made) are moving slowly up the village.

Oh yes - they were all out on Sennen when i went at the end of January this year!

Well it's lightly overcast now but it's meant to be sunny later - or at least sunny spells - so think will go for a walk somewhere Hopefully it will be warmer than yesterday, which was wet with an icy cold wind.

At Last The snow has finally arrived in Kent
I know it isn't good for wildlife and Iput out extra food for them. But I do love it..
Growing up right next to the sea in Devon we rarely got to see any real snow so I had a very deprived childhood.. I get so excited when i see it now.. I also have this thing! that I must do....I have to find fresh snow that no one has walked on and make foot and hand prints in it before anyone else gets near it.

An inch or two of snow here this morning, but it's now thawing quickly. Almost no wind, a complete contrast to yesterday in that repsect.

My parents have snow in Cambridgeshire but I have none here in Hampshire (much to my daughter's disgust lol)

More than 2 inches of snow here this morning between 6 - 9am. I was tucked up in my hide watching our local Kingfishers throughout the downfall - quite cosy really (though I did have 5 layers of clothing including thermals plus 3 pairs of socks

Well worth it though as I got some lovely shots of the Kingfishers in the snow. I've put one on the 'Snow at Easter' thread but will save the others for my next Kingfisher Diary update

Surprised you haven`t had any snow Purplepixii we had quite alot this morning,it started off with lots and lots of small flakes and then huge flakes later,the garden wall was white for about an hour but that was it.This afternoon was bright sunshine and a quick hail storm.Very strange to get such a wide range of weather in one day.But as most of it was spent looking out of the window of the steam train along the Watercress line we didn`t mind at all.

Been snowing here since about 8am, although it looks like it's just stopping now. Some of it's settled, but looks like it's going to disappear quickly as it did the last couple of days.

Well the weather forecast says cloud & sunny spells but so far its been cloud and snow/sleet!

It was meant to be clear and sunny down here but started off overcast but still quite bright. So, I went for a walk sort of Birling Gap / Beachy Head way and not only was it freezing but sleeting too:rolleyes - still it made me walk faster However, now I'm back - it looks like it's going to brighten up - lol

Its heavy snow here it was when we woke up this morning white everywhere , it melted, now its grey skys and snow.

Woke up to a sharp frost and now it's snowing..though it doesn't look as though it's going to amount to much.

Yet again another lovely spring day! A few clouds in the skybut very blue and the east facing oaks of the Severn Valley are gleaming in the sunrise and theres no sign of wind to be seen anywhere!

Well after a couple of days of rain and snow here its nice to see some blue sky for a change..This morning has started off with sunshine but the clouds have already started to fill the sky so who knowns what in store ...Im hoping that cold wind stays away...

Well, the clouds and snow have now gone and it's clear, sunny and quite warm too

Woke up to a covering of white on grass, roofs and cars which rapidly thawed in the bright sunshine but now we have bursts of sun through heavy dark cloud. Temperature around 2-3degrees.

Had the most amazing hail storm earlier this afternoon; the hail was small but so much fell over a period of about 10-15 minutes it looked like it had snowed covering the gardens and cars with about 1-2" of white stuff! And the noise was amazing.
