We are a few days off yet .......... so its fingers crossed - but I suspect more snow and rain than we had last year - in some ways I won;t care just so long as I can get rid of this blasted heavy cold and start to feel more like doing something and going places

Got up early and went to Watership Down area near Newbury and big hailsorm on way causing another car ahead to skid into central crash barrier, then beautiful sun blue skies for about hour and half then jet black and big snow storm for about 20 mins then blue skies and white clouds again - so very mixed day but consistant thing was a very cold wind! It was 2.5deg early morning and only 4.5deg during day.
Had wonderful day though different birds prey, hares, Rabbits etc so will hopefully post some later after warm cup tea!

I had real trouble sleeping last night cos the wind was blowing a gale from about 1 am and the house was being buffeted by hail stones, it was still going at 8.30 this morning. Shortly after that the hail stopped, then it stopped raining and the sun came out although the wind was still bitter. Now it is glorious sunshine, the wind has finally dropped and it is reasonably warmish. Looks like the local forecast was wrong for today |

Just come in afte setting a couple of night lines,freezing cold,hail and snow through the afternoon,but now ther is such a beautiful full moon that its feels like you could reach up and touch it,still more gales forcast over here.

Since I posted just over an hour ago, we've had a real blizzard - reminded me of winter's of old! Very strong winds and lots more snow, about 1cm of snow now settled on the ground. As I type, the sun's come out and the snow's stopped - there's a big patch of blue sky to the south, but it's surrounded by thick grey clouds so we may get more snow later. |

Started snowing at White Hart Lane as the match started!
Up here we've about had it all. I've been trying to get out to dig the plot and mow the lawn but ... equinoctial gales as we'd expect but yesterday serious hail ever time I went out and today it's snow, although not heavy. Lovely sunshine in between although very cold for March.
I'm giving it another go now ...... |

Hello it soooo cold here took dogs down beach for a walk it was perishing, the sea was extra rough, now got sleet /snow about 4 degrees oh good sun has now come out . freeeeeeezing |

Nice blue skies and looks like we're in for a nice sunset now. There's just a few slight patches of snow left on the ground.
It's been a bizarre day. Lots of snow this morning, blizzard-like for a while, in very strong winds. This afternoon it's alternated between blustery snow showers and periods of calm with blue skies. | |
