And me I actually managed to get some washing on the line but yesterday my partner drove up a lane in South Wales and it was about three foot deep with water, go figure, he was quite chuffed actually because he drives a ford mondeo and he passed a transit van that had got stuck. MEN eh!

So much rain in the past week, noticed today that the Thames has burst its banks in a few places around here.
Also lots of flooded fields locally.
With more rain on the way.......what next.

Used to go there once a year with London BTCV - we used to wade/swim across the river at luch time to go to the pub! A friend of mine used to cow spot - don't think he ever did find B52..!!!

What pub? Have been in the 2 there. The Trout and The Perch.

I've been in The Perch pub a few years back, we had a jolly boys boating holiday and it all got a bit messy..........

Think that was it - if it's got a big garden area then it was....it would have been one that sells local real ales!

The main thing I remember (apart from trying to find cow B52!) was having my first ride on a bike....I was taken the bumpy way...quite fast....!

Well its still dark here and rainning...will be awhile before i make my way out with the dog this morning..while out yesterday noticed there is so much water on the fields and some local flooding on the smaller roads...

There was what sounded like hurricane winds here last night (and still going!) - lots of howling and whistling and the rain. Still very dark at the moment - maybe Sauron hasn't died after all

Its horrible out ther...Wind howlin at my door..plenty of water on the roads ..with local flooding..Looks like another day of great British Weather...Spoke to my mum last night in Carmarthen told me its been like this for quite a few days and more to come...and being quite high up there's no chance of her flooding but the water is running down the lanes like a river...

Really nasty here overnight and this morning, blowing a gale and chucking it down. A bet a few peeps have got some damage with that wind.............

There seem to be a lot or roads around here that have been 'washed away' by incessant rain in recent weeks, particularly in the last week.

Quite large and sometimes deep holes in roads that can easily catch you out if you don't see them.

I also noticed today while out that a lot of roads are closed due to flooding, and not just the ones you expect.

At the moment its coming down in buckets loads...might need a canoe to get across the garden in the morning...

I'll bring my rod Julie, maybe a few bass might of swam upstream and if they have then i'll nab 'em........

The only thing your find swimming across the garden if this rain continues is the half dozen goldfish from the pond...and dont even think about making a cold supper out of them Stewy....

You have my sympathy down there I feel sorry for the people who have been flooded out already and justv getting back in ,they will find it hard trying to sell up if they wanted or get insurance.The goverment should stop builders building on flood plains and stop putting money before peoples lives

There's no way Bill Im letting Stewy get his hands on my fish..Ive got some dried spiced pork in the fridge..he gonna have to be happy with that...

Giant African land snails for one, and goldfish amongst other things. I'm actually not that adventurous when it comes to me food but i'll try most things once (apart from African land snails and Julies goldfish!)

What a difference a day makes...Its lovely out there.. didnt need to even wear a coat out today ...Just my wellies..The woodlands were full of Bird Song.. The ditches were full of water for the first time in over ayear..Its a truely lovely day out there....lets hope it lasts...
