UK weather is weird!

Very cold and windy here today ...Got myself caught in a heavy shower while out dog walking...Not many birds in the garden due to the rain....Hope it will clear up for tomorrow..

A mix of good old British weather today. Some sunny spells, strong winds, heavy rain, some amazing dark clouds with distant thunder and lightning and a few brilliant rainbows. Looks like we could be in for more.

God awful day here too. It started nice, with a lovely dawn and then started raining at about 9.30. Hasn't stopped since.

But, tomorrow is forcast gales so I'm gonna pack the camera in the car and after I've picked up my last few xmas presents I'm gonna pop to the coast - I love love love the sea when it's rough

I totally agree Petermcgain - I love the change in seasons and the chance to do a bit of hibernating in the winter after making the most of the summer months and chasing around like a mad thing! The British weather gives us all something to chat about, even with complete strangers! Just as I'm doing right now.... anyway must crack on with Christmas preparations....

Well today its lovely out...Its a bit fresh but dry with plenty of sunshine..plenty of birds around in the garden and in the parks....may this remain for the rest of the week...please..

Its howling a gale up here the birds on the feeders are habging on for dear life its like watching them on a big diper come waltzer one minute they are up in the air next they are being swung round in circles but they keep coming bless em.
Still had no snow in our area but plenty around the neighbouring area

Whilst on holiday in New Orleans back in 2004 I was asked by a local what our climate was like in Britain. I replied that we don't have a climate here, we just have weather

Ironically, one year later almost to the day, New Orleans had some weather too.

dontthink ive ever seen an upside down rainbow. Though i remember one day in january where it was sunny, snowy, haily(er not sure if thats a word lol) rainy and heard thunder in a few hours. Really odd lol, but cool.

Well its horrible here today ...rainning windy and cold...The little sparrows are hanging on for dear life onto the fatball holders while getting tossed around...looks like nothing keeps these little ones away.....It was such a lovely bright day yesterday...what happened..

Had the most horrendous downpour just over an hour ago, could hardly see more than a few yards and enough force to break twigs off the trees again and the roads flooded.

Now, 80 minutes later, blue sky!

Strange here today, one minute it's bright sunshine and the next it's hammering it down. I think we are forecast frost for tonight so the roads might be a bit iffy in the morning.

We did have a lovely rainbow earler though which was nice.

First thing this morning in the Derbys Dales it was frosty with freezing fog, and then about 2 hours ago the rain was back, very wet now- I am bored with the rain, hardly any birds out and even the dogs won't go in the garden.

It had been rainning alnight didnt stop till after midday. Had to drag the dog out for a walk , still rainning at this point so took the umbrella..found the old dirt tracks and the park were very much like a bog..then the moment we got back inside ...the sun came out...

Been raining here all day, on the way back from work today had to drive thru flooded roads. Its still chucking it down out there.

Well after storm and tempest last night it's now a clear sunny day and not that cold.....only I start work soon! Mme Humphy the blackbird told me off again and I wasn't even late with her food!
