According to the AA route planner it's a fair way Julie, 629.22 Miles and will take 12hrs and 19mins, I don't think my old banger would make it that far and even if it did I expect all the snow would of melted by the time we got there. | forget about the 19mins Stewy..We set off at 6pm this evening with a load of bacon sarnies..we could be there for early breakfast ..Give Bill a wake up call.. Snow ball fights starts at 8am...

Cheers...Bill | I'm coming up big bill! I'll bring me sledge and I think I might have a couple of old tennis rackets in the loft to make some snow shoes from to get through those drifts!
I'll come up Saturday to go sledging and then we'll watch us beat the French on the Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| | | Re: first snow Woke up to hailstones blowing in a horizontal white sheet across the gardens, brrr.
The wind has battered the trees all day and quite a few hungry birds attempting to land on the feeders found themselves thrown against my windows instead.
Being a natural worrier I'm now in agonies wondering if they've managed to get something to eat from my wind-depleted feeders, and if so, will it be enough to see them through such a stormy night. |

'sorry boss I'm not at home - I'm at the van (south Lakes!!! heh! heh! heh!) ........'thats what I said Pauline - start walking now - you might just get here for the last day of your shift'.......... heh! heh! heh!

Enjoy it for us won't you - I'll try not to think of you having fun in the Cairngorms while I'm at work.............
It snowed furiously finally here this morning - for all of 15 mins - the the dark grey clouds just folded away and out came the sun and an immediate and fast thaw set in........ so much for that then.........
