snow forecast for the west coast coming in tonight ,i'm going over rannoch moor tommorrow ,maybe. don't think we have all we're due yet, the latest i can remember the glen being blocked was 10th march ,might get some winter pictures yet

Later this week looks good for some snow, especially the further north and west you are (and higher up of course). I look forward to hearing reports nearer the time! A bit too far east for anything here (Scarborough)

I think it's gonna snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You should see the grin i have just thinking about it. Just hope the weather guys arn't playing a cruel joke...again. Looking forward to being in the right place for decent weather for a change (north west highlands)! Comin in wild just now though, guess won't be out in the woods tomorrow if this keeps up.

We had one very violent snow shower earlier this afternoon, accompanied by squally winds and even a rumble of thunder  Settled briefly but soon melted after the shower had cleared |

Woke up to hailstones blowing in a horizontal white sheet across the gardens, brrr.
The wind has battered the trees all day and quite a few hungry birds attempting to land on the feeders found themselves thrown against my windows instead.
Being a natural worrier I'm now in agonies wondering if they've managed to get something to eat from my wind-depleted feeders, and if so, will it be enough to see them through such a stormy night. |

I keep glancing out of the window cos I really am expecting some sort of covering here tho might not be until teatime tomorrow according to the forecast............
I wish I'd gone to the caravan now and hopefully got snowed in ........ I could just hear myself ringing into work on Sunday morning .......... 'sorry snowed in can't get in to work' and my boss saying 'start walking over the back fields now' .......... We've had a poxy half centimeter overnight - if that - and its frozen solid and no use for snowmen............
The clear spells and blue this morning can be seen retreating into the distance in Cheshire/Staffs and we have the grim and grey again......... it is sleeting and thoroughly off putting........ so another day stuck indoors ....... La la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaa - fetch the straightjacket and the Horlicks

Well, we had about six inches of lovely powdery white stuff, the roads were pretty dicey last night and the electric has been going off and on, some have had none since yeasterday. It's great drinking by candel light in the pub. There goes the electric again, i was watching the rugby aswell! |

snow and frost here in glen coe last night ,but all gone now .raining now and a tad warmer .driving home from work this morning was "interesting" .freezing level is still quite low 500 metres .

About 1in of snow here overnight and it has threatened all day but nothing temps down to -2 main roads around here not to bad so off to Aviemoere again tomorrow with grand-daughter she wants to go sledging so will try and get some pics as well ifc she lets me

Enjoy it for us won't you - I'll try not to think of you having fun in the Cairngorms while I'm at work.............
It snowed furiously finally here this morning - for all of 15 mins - the the dark grey clouds just folded away and out came the sun and an immediate and fast thaw set in........ so much for that then.........
