I havnt had any snow and i am very dissapointed as i too wanted to get out with the camera ..hopefully their is still time for me to get some.
Its like autumn here wet and very windy ..

8th jan 2008 just had a hail storm and then a skittering off snow car roof tops and lawn looking white. dont think it will last long.

The whitest it's been here was after several days of constant frost last year, that might have to suffice. I keep waking up and looking outside but na, just rain. It's 1 degree and it's still raining!!! Wild weather though, borders getting the worst of the winds this morning but pretty heavy here and electric keeps flicking, getting to work might be interesting if there are trees down. Talking of work...bye

Had a great time yesterday in the snow at least 30inchs deep at the Cairngorms National Park at AviemoreSki Centre look in Gallery for pics as to how lovely it was watched Search and rescue dogs doing traing as well brilliant

We do not get any snow down here in Essex anymore

but I do have some great memories of white winter holidays in the Scottish Highlands..

There was something I saw on TV recently saying that this was one of the best winters in the ski areas for many years.

It is really great here at the moment ok no snow around Nairn where I am but Aviemore and the Cairngorms are only 30 minutes drive away the trainingt exercise was really great to watch and it makes you wonder how the dogs can find the bodiye sin the buried snow.In answer to Richard yes so far its been one of the best seasons so far for the snow but could still do with some more for the ski centres

snow here last night about 50mtres and above...thought we were trapped at the pub but no such luck ,it's now gone and all that is left is well up the glen .the ski lifts were open in glen coe and it was busy friday/saturday

According to a neighbour, we had snow here about 11 O'clock on Friday night - great big flakes, and enough to start settling on the ground. It was all gone by morning so I didn't know anything about it!

On Saturday, a bright but cold day in Sheffield so went up to Stanage Edge (the boundary between Yorkshire and Derbys) - you guessed ....

Not like the deep snow in Scotland but harsh ....

Looks a bit chilly Paul, hope you had your winter vest and a warm hat on.

According to the AA route planner it's a fair way Julie, 629.22 Miles and will take 12hrs and 19mins, I don't think my old banger would make it that far and even if it did I expect all the snow would of melted by the time we got there.

You usually have to get there very early to avoid folk - it's a bit of a walkers' motorway! To the south there were actually quite a few climbers - hardy souls.

Not a bad picture considering it was nearly dark and I was shivering!
