first snow - Page 4

Saw some extremely small "diamond dust" flakes falling early hours of this morning and the neighbouring roof has a very fine dusting of snow on it. Not exactly a proper snowfall but I guess it's what I would call "Swindon's First Snow" this year. Let's hope it's an indicator of things to come! It's -3C here at the moment and foggy but Netweather has predicted a 15% chance we'll get snow here over the next few days. Anyone else with any sign of flakes?!!!

According to netweather my areas guna get snow on wednesday and thursday. lets hope it holds out.

just seen the weather for the week ahead we are in for heavy snow towards the end of the week around Wednesday and Thursday so may get wish and get back to Glencoe with the snow and Bauchille Etive Mhor it looks great incasded in the snow

Will be well prepared want to get over that way again as its so lovely with the snow especially around the Rannoch Moor area also lets just hope now for the snow the ski resorts up here need it also

Had to go into Inverness shopping this afternoon and was looking over to Ben Wyvis just past the Black Isle in Wester Ross and geuss what there is SNOW on the top of the mountains and yes you have it no camera the scene was lovely,so hope for us up here for the winter images that we want

I live in Southampton and have just seen our local weather forecast and it looks as though there may be sleet or snow for us on Thursday. My husband is jumping with joy. I shall believe it when I see it!!!! Happy New Year to you all.

Pretty wet and cold here..Heard that east of scotland might be in for a bit of snow later ...Lucky you..my sledge has been in the garage for many yrs now.

the kids were small the last time it came to any use...

We live inbetween Portsmouth and London and have a very high chance for snow here tommorow (a rarity in our area) and 40% chance of disruption.

Great for the camera.

Got badly snowed early Dec 2007 above Settle. Could have done without it, moving furniture. Dis stop it raining.

Which wab member will be the first to say they have snow on thursday in his or her area or will it not happen at all. Will be interesting to see who it is.

Not the first snow of the winter but the first of this New Year - just started only a dusting at the moment but looks set to continue. Temperatures not expected to rise above 0 C today ..... nice refreshing walk called for!

Theres snow where I am, most of the road is covered and everywhere else.
Theres not alot on the hills that i can see from my bedroom window.
It was snowing this morning when I got up but has stopped now.

Just started snowing here but not looking like it's going to settle but then it's not all that cold. Aim those snowballs well if it settles where you are Julie!!!!

Its snowed here twice since i last posted, its snowing quite fast at the moment hehe!
I drove through some nearby villages in Tameside and the pavements & roads were clear, as soon as i dropped someone off at the train station it started snowing and within 5 minutes the pavements had a light covering of snow and the middle of the road was beginning to collect a little bit.
Not all the roads have been gritted here so they are covered in snow.
