As for wild animals it is a problem that we shouldn't forget but as we have no control over the weather we mights as well enjoy it! We can all make sure local wildlife is well catered for etc and contribute to charities which deal with the more inaccessible ones. Though in this case I'd make sure exactly where your money is going before you donate. All charities do very well over the Christmas period by the way and wildlife ones even better in a cold year. I used to have a job doing fundraising for one so....!

the reason for this is because it it the hale cycle this year and the nao is negative so there will be some decent snow for once. the hale cycle is the reason why we had a cold suummer. the hale cycle is a 22-23 year cycle where the sunspots are at a minimum. in 1998 11 years ago the sunspots were at a maximum. so every 11 years it changes.
ive also seen on one website but cant remember what it is that we may have a repeat of the winter of 1963. | It seems it's been another very mild winter with only a couple of cold spells and very little snow none in some parts of the south. Late Feb early March can sometimes spring suprises though. |
