I used to go beach fishing when I was a young un, My mate tried wearing his Girlfriends tights to keep warm ( well thats the reason he told me) One night he wandered ofa few yeards to have a wee and I heard a bit of a squak, He had weed himself as he had forgotten about the tights and couldnt find an opening fast enough...

Doug | Great photo!
You're right about it looking festive. When I got to work early this morning it was picturesque looking over the river with the church spire white with frost and the hills and trees white.

| | | Re: First Frost My young Lab puppy had its first walk in frosty weather this morning,,, After getting over the excitement of realising the paths were slippy and doing a fair bambi impression, she spent next 10 mins trying to lick the hoar frost of the grass. Then she barked at the deep puddle as it wouldnt let her lap it up as usual... Quite an exciting morning walk really

Hampshire; down to -6 this morning, but glorious in the sunshine when I took the dog out for a long walk over the heath in Yateley Country Park. |

| Oh yes!
The day I read this I could see the sun rise at the foot of the valley while I was sitting at my computer, with the hills white with frost, and mist in the valley below them.
I was out in the neighbouring valley the other day. It was so beautiful it
beat many a summer's day. :-)
Yesterday my friends and I, being hardy nutcases, had planned an outdoor party. Hmm, I thought, driving through fog. Bet this won’t last long!
Guess what? As I went uphill to the party, I emerged in sunlight above the clouds, and while we enjoyed ourselves we could see trees appearing and disappearing in mist with bright sunlight on the hills above them. Magic! |
