Should have kept the big one shut! No sooner had I posted than everything went black, the wind went crazy and we had an incredible storm. It only lasted for about fifteen minutes but it was incredibly intense!

The storms always seem to pass around us here (east herts) which got me thinking why are some areas of the country more susceptible to storms then other parts? London, the midlands and essex for example always get them. I can always hear the thunder but we never get any. Is it the lie of the land?
The last storm we had was a good 3 weeks ago and I was at work at the time
