| | | This cold snap Hi Guys
Does anyone know how long we are to have this cold weather for?
Is it not pretty late for such temperatures. Usually by now I can let my tortoise out, but no chance in this weather.
Cheers |

| | | Re: This cold snap No idea Boddie, but I tell you, living on the side of a hill north facing is no fun at all! We are always a couple of degrees cooler than surrounding areas in winter. |

| | | Re: This cold snap Yeah I can imagine.
I am in the town I guess and its not too bad either first thing in the morning whan I take a run and last thing at night. I just saw on Sky briefly pictures of the only Olympic medal winner returning home. Not sure where she is from but the weather looked fantastic |

| | | Re: This cold snap Yes, we could certainly do with a bit of warm weather now. My two little tortoises are waking up after they semi-hibernated-too young and light to cope with the full stretch yet-and are eating just a little.ww |

| | | Re: This cold snap In the early hours of Friday morning 03/03/06 My outdoor digital thermometer recorded a minimum temperature of -7.5 C, the coldest night on record this year, and this winter in my area of north Lincolnshire |

| | | Re: This cold snap I have just been out over Sutton Park for a run. The weather was absolutely stunning. I kept up a good pace for about 75 minutes and did not feel the cold at all. I am absolutely creamed but feel fantastic.
There was alot of activity in the park actually. Strange, as I am a big cyclist myself, but I have to say just how annoying it is that the guys that are dressed up to the nines with all the mountain bike kit find it necessary to use paths, therefore chopping them up. It is impossible for families to venture into the parks due to the state of the paths. These guys will swear they have been 'cross country' or 'off roading' but they require the comfort of the paths, one of them even clipping me as he rode past at speed.
A little bit of courtesy, not to mention imagination, would not go amiss. |

| | | Re: This cold snap My dog in her later years was blind and deaf. She used to walk in front of us many a time I had to run to shield her from cyclists on the foot path riding to fast she would'nt get out of the way as she did'nt see or hear them coming. She still enjoyed walking off the lead in a so called safe area.
I own a series 3 Land Rover. I use it for birding. I do not drive off road. Not every 4 X 4 owner churns up the country side. |
