Nige | admittedly, most of the stuff shown has been available on the web for quite a time now,
but it still made interesting viewing, and far better than your usual soaps

| | | Re: Nature's Weirdest Events Anyone catch Part 2 last night? I have to admit that although still quite interesting, I preferred the first part. Very sad to see the awful deaths of those poor sea birds and Muskox. The power of nature never fails to amaze me!
Even though some may not have been impressed, must be better than Eastenders!

| | | Re: Nature's Weirdest Events It was the disappearing lake that caught my interest - it was such a beautiful area and good to see that it recovered all it's wildlife again.
Can we have some of the red-winged blackbirds here

| | | Re: Nature's Weirdest Events I loved this short series.
The red dust in Sydney in the first programme was just amazing. I think if I'd woken up to that, I'd have thought I'd woken up dead! (If you know what I mean!)
In the second programme it was the lake in Florida that took me the most!
Isn't nature wonderful!

| | | Re: Nature's Weirdest Events Just watched the first one in I-Player. Yes, I'd seen some of the footage before but this programme went into much more detail about the background of the events, their causes, how often they happen etc. Plus it was great watching the interviewees trying to keep a straight face during their "introductory" shots!

Nige | Maybe it was because Sir David didn`t do it.
