| | | The Animal's Guide to Britain I'm not entirely convinced that the apostrophe is in the right place (only one animal?) but leaving that aside this looks like one for the recorder.
Chris Packham presents a four part series that "looks at Britain from an animal's point of view". (Okay, only one animal - I'll let them off!) Starting next Thursday 14th April at 8pm on BBC 2. It's probably repeated somewhere in the small hours too, but I can't find any details of that at the moment.
See BBC - BBC Two Programmes - The Animal's Guide to Britain, Freshwater Animals for more details.

| | | Re: The Animal's Guide to Britain I'm really looking forward to it. I was consulted by one of the folks working on it about a couple of things (only a few exchanged emails, nothing big) and loved the sound of a show from the outset.
Starts with freshwater creatures too, which is obvously interesting to me! Quote:

| | | Re: The Animal's Guide to Britain Loved it! He opened with Loch Garten and closed with Knapdale so how could I not? If he does Bass Rock and Chanonry Point in later programmes then I might as well stay at home in August and watch the recordings!

| | | Re: The Animal's Guide to Britain I saw the first half and the photography was great... but somehow I felt I was listening to a CBBC programme.
Probably just me being an old Grumpy?!?

| | | Re: The Animal's Guide to Britain I'm pleased that Chris is concentrating on a decent amount of information on each species instead of trying to squeeze in too many with very little information.
Good stuff.

| | | Re: The Animal's Guide to Britain Well that was one very interesting program, I particularly liked the history of the species, that little extra that draws you in. Black WaterVoles and Brown.
Those Black Voles were very clever, staying away from Rabbits because the rabbits attracted Mink (who were those idiots that released them)
Dummy Osprey nests ......
