Just mentioned it in another thread, but I'd missed the grass snake webcam by minutes apparently, so was really pleased to see the footage last night. Will we be getting a Samuel L Jackson 'Snakes on a Plane' pun from Chris tonight then?

Yes I saw it too and thought it was quite funny - I half expected it to venture into the studio and disrupt the live prog - that would have been funny

I have just caught up with last night's episode and I have to say the surf and wave film was breath-taking.... utterly beautiful. The film-maker's love, fascination and respect part of the beauty too I think.

I meant to mention this as well as the squirrel in my previous post... Yeah, this chap's work was awesome. A very individual take on the sea. I hope his work gets the wider viewing it deserves, you see so much 'averagely dull' nature filming, yet here was someone who presented something truly magical.

Couldn't agree more! I thought that his presenting style was so much better than Charlie's. Skomer is so beautiful Never thought I'd say this, but I was actually getting a little bored with the program. Kate is really getting on my nerves with that childish, giggly, flirty persona. I've not totally gone off Chris Packham yet, but I find myself tutting much more at his 'silly' antics. Bring back Simon King as the main presenter I say! Also, there must so many better female presenters out there. I think the program is now more suited to CBBC than an adult audience. Nothing wrong with that, but please let's have a grown up version too! I have to say though, that the guy filming the waves was totally amazing! I was quite disappointed when the program switched back to Chris and Kate! - Wizzo

Oooh I did that yesterday for a springwatch/ the truth about wildlife catchup and although springwatch was there the other wasn't most frustrating!!

I seem to have got a show behind also somehow. Just watched Tuesdays episode. I have to say I love the Short Eared Owls on Skomer. They're breathtaking! Now for last nights...
