There are a great many individuals across all the tribes/nations of North American Indians who greatly respect and honour all the creatures around them - Not just bears and eagles. This honour and respect takes the form of ceremony when an animal life is taken, or should I say given. Nothing is wasted either. But let's not put all tribal peoples up on a pedestal either - They are human like the rest of us and there are some with alcohol problems etc and those who will sell their grandmother. For a contemporary slice of life see the movie "Thunderheart".
Back to this bear family.......
