I'm just pleased I got the death-watch beetle sound correct (though failed miserably on the other two).

Robin | I did the exact opposite! Completely failed on the last one - It sounded a bit like a brown long-eared bats echolocation to me!

Me too! Got the first two easily but thought the last one might have been a Nuthatch tapping on a tree...
To be fair, I've never knowingly been in the presence of Death-watch Beetles.

I remembered the puffins from when he recorded them before, and I loved the eerie seal sirens.
If you get red tights you have to be able to match them exactly to your top  |

I decided to give a Horse Chestnut Leaf a close inspection, just like they did on AW a few weeks ago.
It worked. I held it up to a bright light & saw the little leaf miner larva/caterpillar wriggling around!

Nice bit on the seals tonight by Gordon Buchanan, found the rest a bit boring I have to admit, maybe just not in the mood for it tonight. |
