| | | Catching the impossible (the new Passion for Angling) I wouldn't have known about this programme if I hadn't recorded one of the Loose Woman programmes in the week.
One of the guest celebrities was Bernard Cribbins. Whilst chatting away to him they announce a series called Catching the Impossible on Channel 4 each Sunday at 6.55am.
It is filmed by Hugh Miles with Bernard narrating, the same format as Passion for Angling, but this time Hugh Miles has developed a way of filming underwater and getting some incredible shots of the fish, including Barbel, Pike, Roach, Rudd, Tench etc.
I have recoded the series and have just watched the first episode and it looks like it is going to be a good one. The main angler is Martin Bowler, who has caught the record Crucian Carp of 4lb 9oz. In today's episode one of the fish he caught was an incredible 4lb 4oz Crucian as well as a huge Rudd and a superb 28+ Catfish.
As with Passion for Angling it is beautifully filmed by Hugh Miles.
Today Chris Yates and Des Taylor joined Martin and next week John Wilson will be one of the Celebrity Anglers.
I am certainly looking forward to the remaining programmes.
Did anyone else see this programme, or better still did anyone actually know about it. I must admit if it wasn't for Loose Women I wouldn't have had a clue about it.
Edit. Here is a link to the website. http://www.catchingtheimpossible.com/
