I've been trying to locate a DVD copy of My Halcyon River which was shown on the BBC a while ago (probably 3 or 4 years or so ago).
If anyone can help I'd be extremely grateful.

I don't think My Halcyon River has been released on DVD.

I would think your best chance of finding it, although perhaps dubiously, would be by downloading through Usenet.

Join uknova (it's free) and make a request - you may be lucky.

O.K., I've just checked. Uknova had it a couple of years ago and I've requested that it be 're-seeded'. If I get it I'll let you have a copy.

I've now downloaded 'My Halcyon River', but have yet to watch it.

If anyone wants a copy, P.M. me and I'll give you may postal address. You can then send a S.A.E. with a blank DVD and I'll burn you a copy. The file is an 'avi' one that will play on a computer, and some DVD players. As there will be plenty of room on the disk for other programmes, I'll add some more that are related to natural history - including Michael Wood's programme on Gilbert White.

As none of the programmes are available commercially on DVD, it's legitimate to copy and pass them on.

I was actually looking for this on Amazon recently too.. as you say it doesn't appear, but I think it may be included as part of a series? Not sure though.

Incidentally, in a similar vein, I've been trying to track down a programme I saw ages ago which I think was called a year in the wood... all I really remember is that it ended up with a kestrel swooping onto a bluetit. Maybe it was Philippa Forester but I'm not sure. If anyone can point me to the programme I'd appreciate it!!
