Just a quick heads up for anybody on Sky,

Thursday night sky1 9pm

Bill Bailey's Bird Watching Bonanza,

Its a 6 part series,quite why they've got Bill Bailey hosting it im not sure?

Might be worth a watch

Bill bailey is actually quite knowledgeable when it comes to the natural world and he has presented nature programmes before, notably "Wild Thing: I Love You"

Thanks Kieth Talbot for reminder.

I'll definately be giving this show a go, not usually into the 'celeb' shows but I expect this will be fun & informative.

I love Bill Bailey's humour & as Ukwilifeo says he's quite a knowledgable guy, look forward to it.

Yes he is.

He was a patron for IAR, not sure if he still is but he is involved with conservation in South East Asia and was particularly involved with efforts to save "dancing" bears in India. I listened to him on Desert Island Discs - he is a very self-effacing man so I wouldn't be surprised if not many people know him for other than his comedy work.

Just saw a repeat of the first episode on Sky 2. Really enjoyed it. Funny, upbeat and informative. Hope to see more.

Me too!

I thought the show was quite funny even though I'd never heard of any of the 'celebs'.

If it creates some interest amongst a wider audience than those who usually watch wildlife programs then all well and good.
