Natural World - A Highland Haven
The wildlife of the Scottish Highlands, seen through the eyes of Fergus Beeley, who spent a year at Loch Maree and the surrounding hills. He follows the fortunes of rare black-throated divers and white-tailed sea eagles, and films the red deer and salmon whose lives revolve around the loch.

Fantastic - such elegance in those Black-throated Divers and seeing the Sea Eagle struggling to cope with gusts of wind - priceless.

I wasn't on here much yesterday so missed this heads up - fortunately I was flicking thro available progs last night and spotted it was coming on half an hour later so watched. Then I find it repeated later still on the HD channel so set out to watch again - fantastic - except by this stage in the day and the working week I was shattered and fell asleep part way thro - and woke up to realise that there was extra content about him filming it and the pine martin in the kitchen - also priceless - I chortled with laughing - he's sat out in the woods and the midges and the martin is back in his kitchen on the table eating jam sandwiches - also priceless

Managed to have the good fortune to watch it on bbc hd and the photography was stunning. Just about everything about the program was brilliant and it is so nice to see our own wildlife given the attention it deserves. So often we see this kind of quality production given to wildlife in far off lands that we can't always identify with. It just goes to show what we have to offer here at home.

Well done Fergus and his team.

I have a real issue with programs like this.

I'm going to spend the rest of the week wondering why I waste my time stuck in an office, in a job I only enjoy part of the time, stuck in traffic jams. pressure, stress, crime, etc etc etc

Why can't I just spend all my life sat at the side of a beautiful Highland Loch watching Eagles and Deer and Otters?

Anyone help?

Don't have the traffic and not in the office for too long in a day, but have still got to agree with this.
