Just a heads up that Countryfile starts in it's new time slot of 7pm tonight, I have to say I quite liked watching it at 11am whilst in bed nursing a hangover......

I usually recorded it at 11am, then watched it Sunday lunchtime. Not too keen on the new 7pm slot, but I guess I should be pleased as that means it's become more 'mainstream'. Interesting to see how the new presenters work out, too.

Some woman from watchdog and a bloke who used to be on Blue Peter by the looks of it.......

Matt Baker (ex-Blue Peter, I think) and Julia Bradbury will be the main presenters, with several others including James Wong.

I rarely got to see it in the 11am slot because that is such a busy time of day for me on a Sunday, although I always really enjoyed it when I did get to see it. I think the 7pm slot will be really good so I am going to make sure tea is done early and the ironing board is set up ready for me to work while watching the telly.

I'm one of the ones who always forget about it on sunday mornings (though quite often it's because I'm a lazy sod and I'd still be in bed lol), new slot should be good, not sure about the change in presenters though, is John Craven still in it?

I too used to either watch in bed if i was awake by then or record it regardless to watch later...so the new slot suits me and im liking the fresh new upshake and style and new presenters...john still does a little bit too bless him and his red jackets.

New slot suits me too as anything that I record tends to get forgotten, especially when it is an hour long. Advantages though are that you can speed through the bits that don't interest you....like lambing time......again!

I thought it was pretty good. I liked the bit about ghyll-sliding, or whatever it was called. They must be mad!

I learned something too. I didn't know that the word ghyll came from Viking. They call the narrow streams that are cut into the rock around here ghylls too.
