EDIT: I've only just noticed the above news page was updated in October 2008! So it could be old news but it's the first I've heard of it! Sorry if you all know about it.

I didn't know but apparently he contracted the bug last year in Peru and was thought to have overcome the problem. However newspaper reports this week are reporting a reoccurence and he is going to have chemo to tackle the latest outbreak.

Typical of the reports is this one in the Telegraph I am afraid it is true but hopefully he will make a full recovery. Ben Fogle is back in chemotherapy after flesh-eating bug returns - Telegraph

I did not know about this back in October when it happened I don't know where I was then  so this is the first I knew of it.
