Monty Halls Great Escape

Did anyone catch this new show last night? It's very good. Basically it follows Marine Biologist Monty Halls as he sets up his own croft in the West Highlands. Quite a bit of nature stuff in there and some amazing scenery. It's been a couple of year since I was last in that part of the world and now I've got a real itch to go back.

Thanks for that thread and link Goatboy - its done me a power of good to sit and watch that this morning - the scenery on its own was worth the watch - the whole experience must be delightful for him - I shall now go and find out which channel and when its on as I assume its a series ........ thanks again

Yes, I saw it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Like you, it left me wanting to go back to the area and, fortunately, we're off up there again in April/May so not too long to wait now

ooh Jeff - luxuriate in it for me will you! Actually I think I might download this first one and watch it again - the scenery was so terrific and he was having typical Apr/May good weather for that part of the world - I'm going to watch it again!

Sorry, should have mentioned it's on BBC2 Sunday nights at 9pm.

Glad you enjoyed it Pauline, it is one of those programmes that just makes you feel happy. Monty's enthusiasm for the project is very infectious.

And I REALLY want a dog like Reuben

I guess this isn't _The_ Monty Hall of the 'Monty Hall Problem'!

As the problem involves goats, I guess it's an appropriate subject for a wildlife forum.

I laughed like a loon when it was going in circles in the snow - it was good to see the dog enjoying itself particularly knowing that it was a rescue dog who had been stuck in a concrete pound till Monty took him on - marvellous .... if there is footie on telly tonight I'm definitely watching again

Loved the programme last night, what an experience I'ld love to do something simular with Mrs WD and our two dogs. I think our black lab would also spend time in the landrover haveing words with herself.
