Like him or dislike him, he has definitely been a key to introducing children and adults into the world of natural history. There's no doubting his knowledge and love of wildlife.
I hope he isn't unwell and wish him good luck in whatever new venture he undertakes in the future.

Just in case anyone hasn't seen the full article, the door has been left open for him to return in the future. He is also going to be doing some other stuff for the Beeb. So it doesn't look like we're going to lose him from our screens completely. | | | |
