| | | Natural World. Tomorrow's Natural World is a documentary all about the life of the Cuckoo.
With David Attenborough as narrator and with some new photography and scientific findings it's promising to be a very interesting programme.

| | | Re: Natural World. I thoroughly enjoyed the programme. It’s taken a long time to research the Cuckoo and well worth making the effort.
They are so cunning, and have to be to survive. I felt really sorry for the Reed Warbler though and wanted the Cuckoo chick to fall out of the nest but then it made me feel sorry for it – confusing my emotions, but that’s wildlife and I hope the Cuckoo survives in the future. A very good programme! |

| | | Re: Natural World. What a great programme, & a big surprise The original research on the cuckoo was done by Edgar Chance at my favourite local spot, Pound Green & I didn`t know
Brilliant, I was so excited

| | | Re: Natural World. Fabulous interesting programme. Thanks ever so much for letting WAB know about it, as if you hadn't I definately would have missed it. Loved seeing Nick Davies calling for cuckoo's! One aspect Im still not clear on is why, when the warblers are very astute in detecting intruder eggs and remove them from the nest (unless very good mimick eggs) they do not do the same with chick once hatched. Surely they must realise it is not their own-they do with many cuckoo eggs? And if they do not know it is not their own chick-how come? They notice eggs that are not a good match-the large chicks certainly are not a good match? |
