I watched Kate's programme last night but gave Bill's a miss. Is it Simon's special tomorrow?

Re: Bill Oddies back garden

Whilst the style and look of the garden doesn't appeal, it clearly does the trick for wildlife and I would dearly love his tally of nesting birds in my garden. I don't stand a chance with with the ugly cats that enter my domain.

Regards, Chris

Pity the same can't be said for Bill.
I didn't watch it as he spoils nature programmes for me.

Re: Bill Oddies back garden

I wasnt going to bother watching it for the same reason Ron, but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and was pleasantly surprised. If you watch it on the bbc site you can always skip Bill`s segments and just watch the excellent footage shown throughout the programme

Thanks Matt. Bill's presenting style puts me off watching anything he is involved with except programmes where he is the only presenter. On his own he is usually fine but he constantly interrupts others, Kate Humble especially, now I could watch her all day

Re: Bill Oddies back garden

'twas a really good programme!
Am I warming to the poison dwarf I wonder?

Did anyone else notice right at the start on his piece about ladybirds, that he pointed to a Harlequin ladybird in his back garden and said:
"Everyone loves ladybirds!"?
NOT THAT SPECIES ODDIE!
But I am nitpicking here (something I'm sure he does a lot of) and the programme was superb - unfortunately for us, pretty well the only bit of this year's springwatch we have managed to watch.

Very much looking forward to Simon King's special tonight.

That bit did surprise me I must admit. You can catch the last proper Springwatch episode at the link I posted earlier in this thread Doug, sadly the earlier episodes are now unavailable to view online..
