Ah.
Cheers pal.
We'll look that up later.
(I'd like to know if the Ospreys were ok and Simon did or didn't get some footage of a bonafide Wildy Cat)...

Re: Bill Oddies back garden

I've still got it on the sky+ box and enjoyed it so much i will almost certainly transfer it to dvd in the near future.

Most of my wildlife watching is done in my garden so this programme was of particular interest to me.

Loved Kates programme as a well and Simon tonight as you say

Its WILDLIFE HEAVEN at the minute Buddy Bears!!!

Re: Bill Oddies back garden

Pity he only spoke of articficial feeding to encourage birds into the garden. Plant the right things - basically open, single flowers, where nectar and pollen are easily accessible - and you'll have a feast of insects for the birds to consume - free!

Thanks for the tip - I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy it so gave it a miss, now I'm off to see if our broadband can cope with it

I did think this, however as you could not see its head and the relative size i was not 100% it was a harlequin and not something like a ten spot with its many various colour/pattern combo's but chances are it was a harlequin..of which i shouted at the tv at the time ha ha

I watched and recorded last nights bill oddie (i fell asleep mid way so need to re watch) however i bloomin missed monday nights prog, which was Kate i think? did i miss much?

Re: Bill Oddies back garden

Some people watch Bill Oddies programmes so they can complain about something he has said or done wrong.I cannot remember him professing to be a qualified zoologist or biologist so isn`t he ok to get the odd thing wrong. He is a very experienced birder whom has taught me many things and will continue to do so.when it comes to birdlife he has forgotten more than most people know.

I quite agree Graham, he speaks as he finds and perhas not aways as scripted which might make him a bit of a loose cannon but that's what I like about him and Johnny Kingdom, what they know they've learned from many years of experience which is far better than some young guns who think they know it all just from text books

Lol

Yes, I really enjoyed Kate's show on the marine life, sorry to say Dan. Plus Kate was in a wetsuit for most of it!

Just watched Bill's episode and thoroughly enjoyed it too
