Re: dont forget johnny tonight

Hello Yes he brill, I first heard about him 2 years ago the our local BBC radio station where interviewing this man and I thought he sound areal animal lover I gotta watch him so I remembered his name and the radio station made a point of telling its listeners when he was coming on TV and ive watched every prog since. A friend let me borrow his book, I havent read it yet but I have scanned the book, it looks very interesting to me. Its his love of animals and he seems such a affectionate chap that you gotta have a soft spot for him Im a JK fan he can come on my laaand any day.

Re: dont forget johnny tonight

Well I enjoyed tonights prog a great deal, this is not a programme about wildlife, it is a programme about him and his mates. Not in any way the worse for that, in many ways very much the better.

Most of his wildlife shots are bordering on interesting, but he is a character, his mates are a vanishing breed (tho his mate that died was only 2 years older than me), and just as some of our wildlife is threatened, so are the people who I worked with on the land and their kind.

I remember " Rabbit how old are you?" "90" "don't you know to come in when it rains yet?" "I sheltered under the barbed wire"

Rabbit used to do some beet hoeing when he wanted, you couldn't stop him. I could go on for ages.
