Great show again tonight, shocking behaviour by the Swallow,

I hope they get the Goldeneye chicks leaving the nest & if they get it with the slow mo' camera that will be very special, i can't wait

What do you mean Dan? I know what spoilers are obviously but how are they spoilers when people comment on the show that's been aired?

I'm stuck in Bristol without a television for a few weeks, so I'd really like 'spoilers', please - as many and as detailed as possible. But after the show has aired would be fine

What did the swallow do?

Apparently ,a male swallow which they now believe is not the parent ,removed all the chicks from the nest as the original male has disappeared and having taken a fancy to the female has built another nest to attract the female.nobody has heard of this before but similar things happen all over the animal kingdom ,lions will kill a females cub so as too keep his line going with the mother usually after defeating ie chasing off or killing the male,sad but that is nature

a 'spoiler' is finding out about stuff (in this case people watching the webcams in the day) before the show has been on....
'reports' about the show AFTER it has aired for people who missed it is fine.

Please look at the web cams if you want to. But leave the commentary to the presenters..

If Bill had said what Simon said on last nights show there would be such an ado made about it but because it was Simon it's all quiet or maybe the Bill bashers are so annoyed he didn't say it they are dumb struck or keyboard struck

The birds with long legs bit? ha ha....bless him...Simon can do no wrong in my eyes...and it was hardly as smutty as some of bills.....in the sense saying a bird with long legs is hardly bad for a child to hear as apposed to a duck gangbang? or "she wants it, give it to me" etc...

On a different note just WHAT IS GOING ON this year with infanticide?...crazy stuff, i wouldnt want to be a baby bird in these violent modern times!

I am Loving The Crane School each night it really makes me smile following their developement.

I do enjoy the animal soap opera style series they have on each of their series.. Autumn watch was the Urban Fox.. This time the Crane School.. cant wait for the next one in Autumn

A lot more definately happens on the Spring 3 weeks.. never a dull monent from start to finish.. Its great..

I am so Jealous of them being able to spend 3 weeks doing something so wonderful.

I have just returned from my trip to the Scottish Highlands and Shetland.

On my last day I made my usual visit to Chanonry Point on the Moray Firth to see the Bottle Nose Dolphins.

Unfortunately I was unlucky this time in seeing the Dolphins (which I did see on Springwatch on the TV later in the evening) but the whole location was heaving with BBC outside broadcast crew, equipment, etc. and a very sociable Simon King.

Well I can hardly believe it - surely 3 weeks haven't gone by just like that have they? Must have cos its finished tonight............

Full marks to the beeb - its been better than ever - helped in my case by knowing the two places well and loving the Cairngorms enormously I've gone from enjoyment to envy and back in each episode

I've even enjoyed Bill and Kate - I think Bill has been on top form
Thank goodness too for bbc iplayer as working late shift last week meant missing the live screening but its been almost as nice to get up with a coffee and watch it next morning!!

I've spent a bit of time on the Springwatch live cams too and that was very interesting and I think will continue while we wonder if the Little Ringed will hatch? Well they can't take boulder cam away from her now can they - she's positively huddle/cuddled up to it all the time!!

I still think we passed Simon walking near the fish farm in early April - if it wasn't then he has a doppleganger (a double!)

So roll on Autumn Watch but lets not wish it here too soon - we need our summer first???

I too thoroughly enjoyed this season..although im convinced i went through atimewarp midway through as im convinced i only watched 2 weeks of it and not three?...i think something happened during that manic last week of my uni work...i definitly saw some repeat footage of swans and cuckoos which i hadnt seen?...

anyway...twas all good....the Wildcats obviously made my day, Simon was as brilliant and prefessional as ever, even Bill was better behaved and Kate was lovely as ever...
I even learnt a little bit this year about UK sharks/dogfish and rays which i didnt know.

Well done the beeb....roll on Autumn watch (but PLEASE no Red Deer rut AGAIN!)

I agree with you 100%, Bill was so much better this year, I think I only got really annoyed with him once or twice a week, as apposed to all the time. Kate was perfect as always. It's taken a while but as a team all three of them are now working well together.
I to find it hard to believe it is all over, what will we do now between 8 - 9pm now.

Once again well done the camera crews for filming some unforgettable British wildlife, good job well done.
