As for Temminck's Stint, I think Bill would have got it right with Sanderling - he might have been criticised for his recent presentation style (including me) but there's no doubt he's an excellent birder and it was interesting to see him 'thinking on his feet', so to speak. |

Kate is an excellent presenter but after seeing the first one she seems intent on talking over him. Hopefully the second will be a little more balanced.
Gripping stuff as eva tho

Gripping stuff as eva tho | I agree, Bill is not the most popular presenter, WABBERS would lead you to believe, but i have a lot of admiration for him anyone with half as much passion foR the wild, as he has, gets the thumbs up from me.
As Kate not letting him get a word in edgeways, its nothing a strip of gaffer tape won't fix
Got a feeling i'm not gonna hear the last of that comment

| | | Re: Springwatch Norfolk Just wanted to add on how much I enjoyed seeing the Wild cat myself. It was amazing. It's a shame though that some believe there are no 100% wild cats left, such a shame but still a beautiful cat she was.

| | | Re: Springwatch Norfolk I just can't see why there is annoyances about the presenters Kate & Bill they both have been doing a cracking job all these years and seem to my mind to get along great. Bill's bonkers Kate's is upbeat, it's classic Morcombe & Wise nature chemistry between them. It wouldn't be the same show if Simon was swapped for either one of them. I just love it! As it goes I don't watch much telly so I'm hardly a critic to be precise all I can say is, long may it continue as it is simply the best film footage and Narrative for a live wildlife show bar none and everyone has their merits! Fingers crossed for more hatchlings t'moz and even better glimpses of the Wildcat, last nights recordings where food from the gods!

| | | Re: Springwatch Norfolk Just caught up with last nights episode via I-Player. They've really dropped on with that Wildcat haven't they - its just fantastic
But oh dear little things do keep dying don't they - and having discovered our own nestbox young blue tits all dead this morning - then I'm feeling a little sensitive......... I've always thought tho that if we really saw what goes on in wildlife - the stark reality - then we might not like to watch it quite so much...

| | | Re: Springwatch Norfolk Arghhhhhhh! Frustration - its just taken me so long to download Media Player (which didn't work) and then Real Player which has worked and I can now see the webcams - but - I've missed the coal tits fledging - oh tarnation
I could now sit and watch that oystercatcher turn round and round on her eggs all afternoon ........... but unfortunately I shall have to drag myself away - peg the bedding out and remake the bed, shower and get ready for work at teatime ......... but just another little sneak oyster c view first.......

| | | Re: Springwatch Norfolk I dont believe it! I've looked away and when I come back there is nothing where the oystercatcher was - ground empty and then the whole cam has now gone - so I presume I've missed them hatching and leaving too.........
Pauline
PS Yes I know I need to get a life - go to work etc - but you can think about me cleaning the loos at work tonight while you are all watching the episode live! |
