Re: Life in Cold Blood

Fantastic programme again The golden frogs and the sad news about the worlds frogs in general, the caecilians really surprised me with their brooding behaviour, amazing ( it took me awhile to find them on the net , I was typing sicillians ) and the salamanders they are evolution in front our eyes. Great stuff

Hmmm disturbing image but very resourceful creatures.

I was a bit dismayed the Natterjack Toad wasn't referrred to tho re breeding habits. I suppose the bbc feel the uk isn't very glamorous in comparison to our creatures worldwise. Oustanding prog again tho.

Simply an amazing episode - The caecilians were a highlight for me. Amazing footage, although I also enjoyed the bullfrog digging the canal for his tadpoles. What a great Dad!

Most enjoyable..Watching the baby Chameleons being born was fascinating..Some of the colours the males displayed during a dispute were excellent..

Oh, I'd travel miles for a good bacon sandwich. Even in my vegetarian years, I'd stand around by road side cafes and inhale!

Missed the episode last night. It is repeated in a few days though, isn't it? Loved the golden frogs, and David's golden frog puppet!

Excellent, shame they didn't show any Adders or Slow Worms though. The flower pot snake was cool.

Re: Life in Cold Blood

Enjoyed this week's very much. It was amazing to watch the snake eating the deer by unhinging its jaw so it could stretch its mouth over the animal and the last sight of the deer's hooves disappearing DA is the best.

Re: Life in Cold Blood

Very informative as to why snakes don't have legs due to being burrowers. I guess somewhere along the lines thats how snakes didn't need the use of eyelids either and gained poor vision unlike there lizard counterparts. great watching!
