| | | Re: River Cottage Gone Fishing 'thought last nights was excellent, good arguments all round.
the system of watercress & trout was great, i'd just finished a big trough of soup but it had me drooling down my lap onto the cat!
the beam fishing skipper's developments were excellent too - hopefully they'll be able to get as close to full sustainability as possible in time. The fact he had a system that made his industry simultaneously more sustainable and more profitable was a real achievement.
respect due to the hfw-meister, more power to his muck flinging elbow |

| | | Re: River Cottage Gone Fishing I thought the Show last night was much better, Particularly liked the feature on the organic trout farm and the Carp rearing. Have caught carp for years and tried one to eat in France this year , Was surprised how good they are

Oh what a shame it was the last in the series... surely he could have done a couple more on maybe eating starfish or anenomes or something! I thoroughly enjoyed the programmes and the fish stew certainly got my juices running!
No doubt Hugh will be back soon with some more sustainable delights...
